I am currently recruiting on behalf of a Luxury Automotive Manufacturer based in Surrey who are seeking a Concept Engineer to join their team.

As Concept Design Engineer your main responsibilities are:

• Taking a carry-over composite tub and packaging powertrain components and concept engineering of new body exterior panels.
• Deliver design proposals according to design brief and project constraints in assigned programs using CATIA v.5
• Body packaging, concept studies and detailed design, including sizing calculations and use of CAD / CAE to create viable sections
• Assess all engineering prototypes to determine any associated issues or risks, mitigating when, and where found
• Co-ordinate own design work to deliver timely design releases and meeting all design for manufacture input from supplier(s)

Qualifications / Skills needed

• 5+ years of automotive Catia V5 design experience
• Experience in concept and full vehicle packaging and layout.
• Carbon fibre composite concept design and/or powertrain and mechanical layout experience
• Automotive experience
• Fluency in English.
